a review on HTC Tattoo

HTC Tattoo

Tattoo looks great design wise, this is the mobile phone standard design and feels great in hand. Tattoo HTC HTC put out there kind of as a cheap version of the HTC Hero. Hardware that sport is a high end a little less then a larger brother. The difference is in screen size and type of telephone.

HTC Tattoo

The Tattoo has a well-made design, the look pretty basic but it just means that it sports a great design to prove that worked well in the past and present. This device has all the buttons that we always see from HTC, end, home, back to the menu, and search. Instead of a trackball this time they chose to install a 4-way navigation pad that works, it's just noticeably less sharp than the HTC Dream / Hero and 3G myTouch. Although less subtle, function properly, the interface is as fast as Hero HTC (HTC Hero and Sprint) to upgrade their current software. The Tattoo has a new feature, removable covers, HTC is really trying to get to 'public' with this device looking for an affordable and personal.

HTC Tattoo

Ok now we get to the one thing that really makes this smartphone different and we suspect more affordable then other HTC Android phone has been placed so far. LCD is only 2.8 inches diagonally and runs at a resolution of 320x240 (QVGA) where all other Android phones released so far has a resolution of 320x480 (also known as HVGA). Large decrease in the resolution together. And even more so if you know that in a few weeks Android phones with WVGA resolution will begin to exit.

HTC Tattoo

Instead of capacitive display device uses resistive technology, which means that the screen is not sensitive to pressure and made of hard glass that we see in other Android devices. The screen seems pretty responsive but not unresponsive as a device with capacitive touch screen. Screens do work though, considering this is for the standard HTC phone budget.

HTC Tattoo

The Tattoo is made with the same hardware as all Android devices they have so far released (the Qualcomm MSM7225) worked a decent but not impressed much. We are waiting for HTC's first Android phone that exercise the CPU Snapdragon (Dragon rumored HTC). Enough of dodge now, the CPU do its work, and consider the Tattoo has a resolution smaller then its predecessor Sense of UI must run faster then the Hero, though as said before the fine, and that more then enough.

3.2 mega pixel camera and it was slightly lower compared with Hero, but this makes a decent picture and it is good to use it to twitter / facebook and other networks from your mobile smartphone. The battery life is the same as other android phones we tested so far from HTC. With heavy use you get a day, with normal usage you get 2 days and a fine.

Tattoo HTC Smartphone Android is positioned as a low-end devices, and despite having the same CPU speed like all its predecessors device is really just that. The Tattoo is only slightly less strong in all things the other devices out there. Even worse screen, the camera is worse Hero, another phone that runs Sense by HTC. Resistive screen is a disappointment, but other than that it's a great phone. On the other hand why not pay a bit extra and get a hero HTC? If no budget detain you go to Hero during Tattoo certain.
