Busy Busy Busy...

Working on a set of traditional flash. Going well so far. Nothing to really update. I kinda made 15 paintings in little over a week... I think I'm good on that tip, but I always have an insatiable urge to make way more. I like seeing a wall full of my art. Keep your eyes peeled and come get a tattoo!

Some New Illustrations...

Worked on some illustrations today and yesterday. Did a bleeding hypnotizing sorta gypsy thing, and a candle burning at both ends. Still need to frame the dude though.

I'm pretty excited...

I scored some sweet frames and some art supplies for my next few illustrations. I've also been focusing on getting back into making flash. I'm going to make on a 3 page American Traditional set and a 3 page black and grey set. I find it to be the best way to fill up the downtime.

I have a new painting to upload but it's at the shop, and I'm off today... guess it'll have to wait till tomorrow. Bummer.

On a more personal note, me and my girlfriend are going apartment hunting today. We've had a lot of shitty encounters with shady landlords. One kept urging us to put a lean on my girlfriend's car as security because my career as a tattoo artist isn't "reliable income". Scam. Not to mention, 9 out of 10 apartment ads on craigslist are identity theft scams. We said fuck it, and we're going the tried and true route and hunting for them ourselves. Pen and paper in hand.

Promoting the New Sketchbook & More...

So we worked with Rich T. over at Bicknee Tattoo Supply on putting out a sketchbook. And the fabulous end result was Pink Taco, Volume 1! It's a 30 page compilation of Ryan Adams and myself's work. It's available over at Bicknee.com.

So I posted an ad on craigslist about all the hackjobs offering their tattoo services out of their homes and shit. It's upsetting when good tattooers at good shops are bending over backwards for work and these fucking scratchers are getting by making a buck doing busted ass tattoos for a fraction of a respectable cost. New illustrations for 2010

I've been a busy bee with the downtime. I made about a dozen new illustrations all for sale and available at the shop. These particular ones are all $40 and are about 8"x10", a steal for those who want to cop some original art for dirt cheap. Holler at me if ya want one.

So I finally got the blog up.

I had started one a few days ago on wordpress and didn't like the limitations. After some snooping around, and some trial and error, I came to the conclusion that blogger holds it down harder for what i need. So I got all my customizational shit together and bam, here's my blog. I hope this puts the fire under my ass to get busy so I can have daily updates for all of y'all. Thanks for stopping by.
